True Brokenness by the Hand of the Lord Leads to Releases of the Supernatural!
Out of prayer this day the following came to me regarding this theme on "Brokenness" in the life of the believer.
Brokenness in the life of the true disciple of Christ is a necessity if true Kingdom of God ministry is to come forth in His word and power. The greater the brokenness the greater the release of the Holy Spirit to do the work He desires to accomplish through those who yield to His directives.
The Holy Spirit desires to speak and lead more than many want to hear and be led. Jesus said to each of the seven churches in the Book of Revelation,
"He who is able to hear,
let him listen to and give heed
to what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches)."
But let us understand that His release out of brokenness comes from standing and kneeling at the foot of the Cross of Christ for the Holy Spirit works within the perimeter of the Cross and what Christ accomplished on the Cross.
Therefore, the faith of the disciple is in the Cross and Christ and nothing else — not the church, not the pastor, not friends, not job, not wealth, no religious works, not self, not counselors, etc.
When one clings to His Cross in desperation to be used mightily by Him, the more Christ brings brokenness into the life of His disciple resulting in mission, vision, and power to manifest the Kingdom of God in a world filled with wickedness and utter darkness where souls are perishing daily by the thousands if not millions.
With faith centered in Cross and Christ exclusively, the Holy Spirit leads and supplies the disciple with confidence and boldness to go and speak the Word of the Lord with the Spirit attesting with the supernatural. I know this to be true for I walk in it for over 50 years.
The release of the Spirit always says to "go." Jesus said and let us take to heart
You have not chosen Me, but
I have chosen vou
and
I have appointed vou
[l have planted vou,
that vou miqht qo and
bear fruit
and
keep on bearinq,
and
that your fruit
mav be lastinq
[that it may remain, abide], so that whatever vou ask the
Father in My Name
[as presenting all that I AM],
He mav give it to you.
John 15:16 (AMP)
Out of clinging to the Christ and Cross and desperation to know Christ intimately arises brokenness of soul or self which flows the divine directive of Christ to "go" and bear the Fruit of the Holy Spirit — not our fruit but His revelation Fruit and His Works.
It could be that many prayers prayed receive no answers because of a lack of "going" and a lack of bearing the Fruit of the Holy Spirit all caused by insufficient brokenness by the Hand of the Lord.
Jesus also said:
I assure you, most
solemnly I tell you,
if anyone
steadfastly believes in Me,
(My comment: "believes in me" =
have faith and confidence
in Christ
and
the
Cross)
he will himself be able to do the
things that I do
and
he will do even greater thinqs than these,
because I go to the Father.
John 14:12 (AMP)
What a promise! But let me ask you, "Where do you see this taking place today?" Where do you see the Book of Acts being lived out in the reality and power of the Holy Spirit? Jesus is not just "blowing smoke" in the verse above. Jesus says, and I quote from the Amplified Bible which reflects the Greek more accurately:
"I assure you, most solemnly I tell you" which I interpret as meaning Jesus saying....."strongly and whole-heartily with no reservation or unbelief - have the faith and confidence in Me and I will give you the means to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit speaking and doing as He would guide you and anoint you to bring forth His gifts to minister to the broken, sick, diseased, oppressed, blind, lame, etc.
Therefore, with that said, I pray each day.
Lord Jesus,
continue to break me
and
use me as I come to your Cross today
and
every day to be sent to do Your Will
in the anointing
and
power of the Holy Spirit.
Let me share your Word of the Cross
and
the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit
with your confirming that Word
by the manifestation of your power.
Jesus,
I will not settle for the mundane,
the "lukewarmness,
the half-heartedness,
the divided heart,
the unbelief,
the powerlessness,
the unfaithfulness,
and
the questioning, which characterize
most of Christianity
in our modern society.
Whatever you require of me,
You have my permission
to continue to bring "brokenness"
into my life so that I can
be a true servant of yours.
It was not long after I penned the above the Lord spoke the following to me.
Brokenness
in the heart
of the
disciple of Christ
is not a reality
until the disciple
has a
divine revelation
of the brokenness
of
Christ on the Cross.
Then and only then
will the disciple truly know
the brokenness of Christ
and
His suffering
and
how it comes
to the soul and spirit
of the disciple shattering
the pride
and
self-independence
which lurks in the secret
and
hidden chambers
of the heart.
Brokenness
is not only a
divine revelation
but a walk of life
or
a life-walk of constantly
releasing the
Spirit and Light Christ.
Brokenness
releases
the
fragrance and aroma
of the
love and compassion
of Christ
and
attracts the
healing balm
to those
who are afflicted
with
sickness and disease.
It will shatter the
bondages and prisons
of those captured
by the
powers of darkness
and
the grip of the world.
Brokenness releases the
liberty
and
life of Christ found
in the
sufferings and sacrifices
of the
Master on the Cross.
When
the inner life
of the disciple
is broken
by
the revelation
of the Cross
the outer life
will also be broken
and
a renewal of the mind
and
words of the disciple
will be forthcoming
generating the
presence of Christ.
I say to you my son,
the Cross lies before you,
it calls you,
it invites you
to come
and
daily cling
to the Cross
for out of your
holding on
to My Cross
will you come
to a
greater understanding
and
revelation
of
the work it
will do in you
and
the work I have called
you to do for Me.
