The Storing Up of God’s Wrath

“But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.” Romans 2:5 ESV

God’s wrath is being withheld upon our nation. Though naturalism and atheism are increasing; and though we are becoming a godless nation, unrepentant of our sin or refusing to acknowledge that God's Word means what it says, God has remained merciful. His merciful hand, however, is upon us for only so much longer. Eventually, He will take His hand off and we will see lawlessness and godlessness increase by a ten fold in this nation.

What we believe to be a wicked and perverse generation will only accelerate. If we believe we have seen darkness, we have not lived into the future. As the days grow closer to the seven bowls of wrath that will be poured out upon the earth, we will see darkness and the vileness of sin overthrow man. Men will no longer have sound minds, but will be reprobates.

Our luxury and ease of life will be shaken. In the United States, we have lived a prosperous, good life. We have many who play the victim and want free handouts. We have many who believe they must not work and they are deserving of whatever they believe. This very mindset has created a generation of soft, entitled, immature men and women. It has swept across the United States. Those who partake in such childishness will have their "faith" exposed for what it is when persecution and suffering comes.

Many who claim to believe in Christ will leave Him the moment believers begin to lose their heads in the United States. For there is coming a day when the U.S. will place the true born again believer in jail and will persecute them. When this will happen, I do not know, nor do I care to predict. It is not my place, nor is it any of our places. It is simply a recognition that must be met. We must be aware that there is coming a time such as this, and when it does, will our faith be shaken?

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.” Romans 1:18 ESV

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth” (Romans 1:18 ESV). God’s wrath will be unleashed because of man’s folly and sin. For we as humans are selfish creatures. We do not want to give glory to another. We do not want to give praise to another. We naturally do not want to be seekers of Truth and submit to Truth Himself.

Humans naturally do not want to be seekers of Truth and submit to Truth Himself.

We would rather live our lives the way we want: indulging in sexual immorality, drunkenness, pride, money, and the like. It is not until these things are found not satisfying that we either continue in our iniquity, falling further and deeper into sin, or we repent and turn to Christ. The decision is ours, but many do not choose the right way. Why? Because sin is distracting. It makes us chase after that which will not satisfy or fulfill. Ultimately, it is the path to destruction and damnation.

Due to sin and a disobedience against God, the wrath of God must take place.

Due to sin and a disobedience against God, the wrath of God must take place. For to sin against an Infinitely Holy Being is to place our ways and pursuits above God. When one takes the time to really dive into Who God is and what He has done, one would be a fool not to accept His sacrificial gift of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. To deny Him is to commit an infinite sin. The sin of rejecting His free gift of salvation alone is worth eternal damnation. Why? Because it is a sin that fails to humble oneself and accept what is freely given, but undeserved.

Many prefer deception over Truth. They strive for lust, rather than trust in Him Who can fill the longing of every soul.

It says, “I don’t need you, God”. Yet, the very capability to say such a thing is only because God is the Giver and Sustainer of life. “‘In Him we live and move and have our being’” (Acts 17:28 ESV). Those who reject Christ are such persons who “do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive” (Romans 16:18 ESV). They prefer deception over Truth. They strive for lust, rather than trust in Him Who can fill the longing of every soul.

“God is a righteous judge, and a God Who feels indignation every day” (Psalm 7:11 ESV). One day, all will stand before the Great White Throne. All will give an account. God will bring justice to all the murderers, adulterers, lusters, prideful, witches, sorcerers, sex traffickers, greedy, envious, drunkards, and sexually immoral. “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21 ESV).

O how “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31 ESV). Imagine waking up after passing away, only to find yourself in Hell. Knowing that you had chance after chance to come to Christ, but refused Him because of your sin. O how the rage at Christ and oneself is in Hell. For Hell is the prerequisite to the Lake of Fire. Those who are found in Hell will spend the rest of their eternity in the Lake of Fire.

May all come to understand that “the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23 ESV). May all know the truth that “God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:9 ESV).

God desires mercy and He desires to save. We do not have to go to such a tormenting, horrific place. For Hell and the Lake of Fire were made for demons and Lucifer. It was not made for man. However, when man partakes in the ways of demons, then their lot is to be destined in an eternity with them.

If sin is against God’s nature; if sin is ungodly and impure; and if Heaven is a place of Love, Goodness, and Perfection, then surely those who are not covered by the Blood and prefer their sin over God will not go to Heaven.

For if sin is against God’s nature; if sin is ungodly and impure; and if Heaven is a place of Love, Goodness, and Perfection, then surely those who are not covered by the Blood and prefer their sin over God will not go to Heaven. They will forsake a glorious Eternity with Christ at the expense of their own sin. How sad it is that those in Hell will never have the opportunity to repent again.

As we become more persecuted as born again believers, may we never avenge ourselves, “but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord”” (Romans 12:19 ESV). God’s Omnipresent, Incorporeal Eye sees all. He will bring vengeance and justice to those who refuse Him, disobey Him, are not covered by the Blood, and mock, ridicule, destroy, and hurt God’s people.

May we come to understand that it is because of sin running rampant that God must eventually rise from His Throne and bring forth His wrath that the world has yet to see.

As sin increases in the world, may we decrease. May we see ourselves as nothing, in order that the Holy Spirit may flow fully in us. May we see ourselves standing before God Almighty now and take appropriate action. May we come to understand that it is because of sin running rampant that God must eventually rise from His Throne and bring forth His wrath that the world has yet to see. For judgments in the Old Testament will not compare to the Wrath that is to come.

We must pray for ALL to come to Christ, for we ourselves are NO BETTER than those currently apart from Him. It is only by grace through faith that we are saved.

May we not be contributors of His wrath coming forth, but may we suppress sin, in order that His wrath may be prolonged. May we be the Light to a darkened world, in order that God may remain patient and long-suffering. For we must be as God and desire that none should perish. We must pray for ALL to come to Christ, for we ourselves are NO BETTER than those currently apart from Him. It is only by grace through faith that we have been saved.

Let us therefore “Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming” (Colossians 3:5-6 ESV). Let us know that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 ESV). May all come to know this blessed truth, while they still have breath in their lungs.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, You are the God of Love and Justice. You desire Mercy, but must bring forth Wrath against that which is ungodly and impure in Your sight. Lord, we know that You desire all to be saved; yet, You know that many will not receive the free gift of salvation. O Lord, send Your Holy Spirit to sweep across the souls of every man. Soften their hearts and make them fertile ground. Bring those who know You and know Your Word. Speak through them by Thy Holy Spirit, and may the softened hearts receive the message of Christ and be transformed. May they enter into the blessed family of You. Lord, all of us are guilty of sin, and our only salvation is through Him: Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep us from that which keeps us from You. Stay Your Wrath, that many more may be saved. Above all else, may Thy Holy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
