The Lord spoke to me today that I needed to be reminded and all who follow Christ that we can often get out of balance in terms of our call in serving Him. The Lord said to me:
“You need to relax
and
focus on Me
for your servanthood is
secondary
while your relationship to Me is
primary.
Yes,
you are called to serve
in what I am showing you,
but you must keep
in balance
your time with Me
and
your time in serving Me.
Many of My people
forget that
I should be the
center of everything
they do for Me
and
not the thing they are
doing for Me
which can rob
them of their loving Me
with all their heart
and
placing Me
first in their lives.
Performing for me
can often displace their
love and devotion
for Me.
Let me remind you of what David said:
One thing
have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek,
inquire for,
and
[insistently] require:
that I may
dwell in the house of the Lord
[in His presence]
all the days of my life,
to behold and gaze upon the beauty
[the sweet attractiveness
and
the delightful loveliness]
of the Lord
and
to meditate,
consider,
and
inquire in His temple.
Psalm 27:4 (AMP)
I said of David,
….‘I have found
David
the son of Jesse to be
a man after my heart,
who will accomplish everything
I want him to do.
Acts 13:22 (NET)
I say to you,
watch your heart
that it seeks more of doing
or performing for Me
rather than being
in My presence –
meditating on Me
and
receiving from Me all
that I have for you.
Let My grace
and
love for you fill you
to overflowing as you make
Me number #1.
Then you will truly
come to know me –
the calling on your life –
the power and authority
I give you over all things –
and
the assignments
I have waiting for you to take Me
to the lost,
the poor,
the heart-broken,
the destitute,
the rejected,
the homeless,
and
the forsaken.
Your servanthood
will arise out of your resting
in Me
and
waiting for Me
to move you in the
divine destiny
I have prepared for you.
The flow ended here.
