Love and Light!

It is very interesting when the Bible talks about love and light. They go together for if love is absent there is little light and if light is absent there is little love.
I need the Light of Christ to know how to manifest the love of Christ. It could also be said, I need the love of Christ to manifest the light of Christ. If I do not demonstrate the love of Christ, I will have difficulty walking in the Light of Christ and vice versa. It is that simple. Both are necessary in one’s maturing and walking with the Christ.
But note in the following verse love is mentioned first and light follows.
The one who
loves
(Comment: One loves because He first loved us and has imparted His love to us)
and
unselfishly seeks the best for his
[believing]
brother lives in the
light,
(Comment: Living in the Light is Living in Christ)
and
in him there is no occasion for
stumbling or offense
(Comment: Living in His love and Light frees one from offending others or causing others to sin)
[he does not hurt the cause of Christ.
or
lead others to sin].
1 John 2:10, (AMP Bible)
Other translations emphasize “remaining in the light,” “….and “love others, we are in the light, and don’t cause problems for them;” and “…..If we love others, we live in the light, and so there is nothing in us that will cause someone else to sin.”
Remaining in the Light is possessing union with and abiding in Christ for Christ said of Himself – “I am the Light of the world “(John 8:12; 9:25). If we are in Christ we will reflect both the love and light of Christ in behaviors, attitudes, actions, and motivations. Allow me to repeat my comments embedded in the verse above:
One loves because He first loved us and has imparted His love to us.
Living in the Light is Living in Christ and reflecting His love. Living in His Light and Love frees one from offending others or causing others to sin.
I will also add….
Living in His Light and Love fosters inner peace, intimacy with Christ,
and
favor with both the Father and Christ.
But there is something else we need to look at in view of Love and Light.
Remember Love and Light represent Christ and are His key characteristics He desires for His followers to continually demonstrate toward each other. One or both of these two qualities are embedded in the context of the following sentences noted in red.
The demonstration of His Love and Light lead to
knowing God and receiving His revelations.
The demonstration of His Love and Light will
attract the anointing of the Lord.
The demonstration of His Love and Light will incur the
blessings and favor of the Lord.
The demonstration of His Love and Light lead to
fellowship with God and His Son.
The demonstration of His Love and Light
fosters the truth of God.
The demonstration of His Love and Light
cleanses one from sin.
The demonstration of His Love and Light
honors the Ten Commandments.
The demonstration of His Love and Light
overcomes evil and unrighteousness.
The demonstration of His Love and Light
overcomes the world.
The demonstration of His Love and Light is the
Will and Way of the Lord.
The demonstration of His love and light is the
effective witness and testimony of the believer.
The demonstration of His Love and Light are
connected to eternal life.
The demonstration of His Love and Light
reflects Christ and His Kingdom.
Let us ponder on what has been presented above. Hopefully, we will evaluate our connection with His Love and Light and where there needs to be improvement, Christ will help us.
Let us not forget the following:
Christ’s Love and Light
generates
Christ’s
Life
to be given
or
shared with others.
Love,
Light,
and
Life
of Christ brings
Liberty
to all those who
continuously receive
His
Love,
Light,
and
Life.
