Yesterday was Pentecost, the day that the Church began, and the day the Holy Spirit came down from heaven and fell upon the believers. John the Baptist said that when Jesus comes "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Matt 3:11
After we finished our Bible study yesterday in Greenville, SC, my friend Teresa Gardner called me in sheer awe. She was telling me that she was looking at a cloud that appeared to have fire in it. She said it lasted a minute or so and then disappeared as quickly as it came.
In the Old Testament in Joel chapter 2, there was a prophecy about the last days and then it was repeated on the Day of Pentecost by Peter in the New Testament, in Acts chapter 2 when Peter was referring to the End Times... "the Last Days"
"In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy. And I will cause WONDERS IN THE HEAVENS above and SIGNS on the earth below— blood and FIRE and CLOUDS of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." -ACTS 2:17-21
THE LORD IS PERFORMING HIS WORD AND ENCOURAGING HIS SAINTS. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY WHO WAS, WHO IS, AND WHO IS TO COME. HE IS COMING SOON!!!!!
"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4
