My Trip to Heaven!

I wish I could visit God’s third heaven as Apostle Paul described his personal trip to heaven in 2^nd Corinthians 12:2. But as I read of his experience, I felt moved to write the following imagining what it would be like to have that experience.  Here is what came to my spirit and mind as I tried to visualize what the trip would be like and what I might experience.  This is written in a poetic style.

O’ people I must tell of

my trip to heaven

and

what did I see,

the saints just

full of joy and glee.

As I walked the streets

of gold which glistened,

I could not help but

to bend my ear

and

 listen.

With such joyful sounds of melody

and

song,

my heart was stricken to sing

along with the

mighty throng.

In the twinkling of the eye

  I found myself

 before His throne

with the small and great,

on knees bent to

worship and praise.

As I cast my eyes on

 the Father and Son

sitting on thrones

 in majestic light,

I could scarcely take it in

for my soul was

 raptured

up in such a divine sight.

As I looked to my right,

I could see the elders

casting their crowns

with heavenly angels

and

 saints standing all around.

While in worship and praise,

I humbly knelt

 in the presence of the

the Father’s only Son,

I quickly became quite undone.

There were divine melodies

entering my ears while my eyes

were transfixed on Jesus

standing

near.

In a most brilliant glory and light

He stood with a banner across

His chest which read,

 “Justice, Truth, and Right.”

All the host of heaven began to shout

“Justice, Truth, and Right”

for Your

Kingdom to come to earth

will be our delight.

They continued to say,

“Christ our Lord of lords,

and

King of kings,

is our God who rules

 over all things.

“He is the

Alpha and Omega,

 the First and Last

who once again will come to

planet earth

with a

triumphant blast.

O’ What a moment this was

with the

 host of heaven

all abuzz.

Then,

all of heaven grew silent

 as Christ stepped forward

and

 with thunder in His voice

for all to hear…..

“The time has come,

the time is fulfilled,

heaven no longer will

stand still.

Earth awaits our visitation

for the

crying,

moaning

and

plea of the people

comes up to Me.

Come My friends,

mount up on your steeds,

for

heaven is about

to address the

 earthly needs.”

Off they went on their

 all-white steeds,

with glisten swords

 on their sides

to bring peace

worldwide.

With all of heaven and earth

now at rest,

Christ the Lord and Savior

and

King of Kings

reigns out of Jerusalem

 over all heavenly

and

earthly things. 

It is at this point I must confess,

there is coming a day that the things described above will in some form or fashion take place

and

I will see Him,

 Christ, my Savior and Lord,

face to face.

O’ what a day that will be!!!
