The next total solar eclipse that will streak across America takes place on April 8, 2024. On the Hebrew calendar, this is the first day of the month of Nisan which corresponds with April on the Gregorian calendar. At sundown in Israel on April the 8th at approximately 11 am (EST), Nissan 1 begins. The eclipse is reported to be visible as a partial eclipse as it begins its journey across America at 11:42am (EST). It's also a time when Jews will be preparing for the Passover, a time full of imagery of Jesus’ death, resurrection, and mission. Many people don’t pay attention to the Hebrew calendar. But, I believe the Hebrew calendar is God’s calendar. The day of the eclipse is Nisan 1, which is historically the same day that Moses dedicated the Tabernacle when the people of Israel were in the wilderness after leaving Eygpt. Nisan 1 is also the Ecclesiastical New Year based on God’s calendar, i.e. the date from which months and festivals are counted according to the scriptures. It’s also worth mentioning that God took His nation of Israel out of Egypt during the month of Nisan. This reference will make more sense as you keep reading.
The 2017 eclipse crossed America diagonally from northwest to southeast, but the upcoming eclipse will do the opposite, creating a Crisscross over the land - essentially marking the nation. The last letter in the Hebrew alphabet is called a tav. It is a letter that can also be used as a sign, like our letter “X”. The Hebrew alphabet has evolved over the centuries, and back in the time of King David and Solomon, the letter tav was drawn as an “X”!
The meaning of tav is ‘mark or completion.’
Total solar eclipses were often seen as warnings of apocalypse by ancient cultures. In Genesis 1:14, God says that the sun and moon were created for light and for “signs.” In Hebrew, it means a signal, or flag. God has clearly said that He intends to give mankind signals using the sun and moon.
I posted a blog on August 15, 2017, just 2 days before the Great American Solar Eclipse. That blog included some undeniable (call them) coincidences that do in fact line up with prophesy and Biblical events. Why was it called the Great AMERICAN eclipse? Because, it was the first total solar eclipse that was only visible in the U.S. and no other country since the country was founded in 1776. While eclipses of this magnitude are rare occurrences – scientists tell us that if you stood in one place on Earth, you would have to wait approximately another 360 years to see another total eclipse. Yet, here we are, getting a sequel just seven years from the 2017 total eclipse. The proximity of time defies the law of averages, and we should most certainly consider that this is a sign to us from our Creator God, Elohim.
There is an intersection between this year’s eclipse and the one from 2017, the meeting of the two different paths across the United States, as if marking the center of a large X. It is precisely in the very same spot in Illinois where – the complete eclipse of the sun – will be repeated for the greatest length of time.
According to Nasa, the exact point where the 2017 and 2024 lines of totality cross is Cedar Lake in Jackson County, just a couple miles south of Carbondale, Illinois.
This exact location is called Little Egypt!
Why is Southern Illinois called Little Egypt?
There are many reasons for the name Little Egypt. First, there is a river system that is reminiscent of the Nile Valley. This is also an area where slavery was in place, despite it being technically illegal in Illinois. There are also several cities in the area named for ancient Egyptian places like Karnak, Cairo, and Thebes.
In the mid-19th century (in the 1800's), there was a famine in Northern Illinois. Yet, there was simultaneously a bountiful harvest in the Southern part of Illinois. So, the people in the North compared themselves to the children of Jacob, who in a time of famine, were forced to go down to Egypt to seek food for their families. People from Northern Illinois said the Carbondale region saved their lives because they provided grain. Thus, Carbondale became known to this day as Little Egypt.
Little Egypt speaks to contemporary America (as a notable sign) just as ancient Egypt did for the Jews throughout the ages. The unprecedented dual eclipses of this decade represent a remarkable link between the story of the original exile to Egypt and the “X marks the spot” Little Egypt location in Illinois.
The number 400 plays a special role in the relationship between the sun and the moon, as well as the number of years that were predicted for the Egyptian exile. Specific numbers are often recorded in the Bible so we will recognize the symbolism, the number 400 is meant to alert us.
Then the Lord said to Abram, “You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed as slaves for 400 years. (Genesis 15:13).
A solar eclipse is predicated on that very number. The sun, as the Bible told us, is larger than the moon: “And God made the two great luminaries: the large luminary to rule the day and the small luminary to rule the night…” (Genesis 1:15). To be exact we know that the sun is 400 times larger than the moon. How is it possible for the moon, so much smaller, to cover the sun to our eyes in an eclipse? It is because the sun is also 400 times further from us than the moon – a relationship of distance exactly parallel to that of size!
When God created the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars His primary purpose was seen in Genesis 1:14: "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years."
· To provide signs for the timing of extraordinary events
· Timing of the seven appointed times (feasts) of God each year (seasons)
· Timing of day and night
· Timing of the years
So, the luminaries were made for the sake of timekeeping. As if God says: “Look at them and you will understand my times and seasons!” Thus says the LORD: ”Do not learn the way of the Gentiles [non-Jewish people]; do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the Gentiles are dismayed at them.” (Jeremiah 10:2)
There will be 8 total and 8 partial eclipses over 8 locations named “Nineveh” on April 8th.
Refer to Matthew 16 “that no sign shall be given EXCEPT the sign of Jonah”. Jonah went to Ninevah to tell them God was ready to destroy them and they responded by REPENTING! Is it a coincidence that this total eclipse on April 8th will occur over: 1. Nineveh, Texas 2. Nineveh, Missouri 3. Nineveh, Indiana 4. Nineveh, Ohio 5. Nineveh, Pennsylvania 6. Nineveh, Virginia 7. Nineveh, New York 8. Nineveh, Nova Scotia? I suppose it could be a coincidence. It's possible. But, what if it's not?
To reiterate, let's recall that the mark that is going across America from both the 2017 and 2024 eclipses is in the exact shape of the ancient Hebrew letter tav. Each Hebrew letter has a numerical value – Aleph, the first letter has a number value of 1, Beit, the second letter, is 2, and so on. When it gets to 10 they go up in tens – 10, 20, 30, and so on until we get to 100. When we get to 100, we go up in hundreds.
What is the numerical value of this letter tav? It is 400!
Tav is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Each letter in the Hebrew alphabet has an assigned numerical value. This is not rabbinical numerology, aka Gematria that is based on Kabbalah. We don't engage in that. However, in the Hebrew scriptures, the chapters and verses are not written with numbers but instead with Hebrew letters. Therefore, the Hebrew letter tav would indeed biblically signal the representation of the number 400.
Is the timing a coincidence? New York City, one of the worlds first international sea ports, is turning four centuries old (400 years) in the month of April, 2024. It was established as a colony in 1624 by the Dutch.
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
“Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:12-13
Could it be that the Lord has put a signature on this event? Not only, do the 2017 and 2024 eclipses form a Tav (the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet). If you include the last annual solar eclipse going over America in October of 2023 and couple that with 2017 and 2024, it now forms an ALFEF which is the FIRST letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This event is marked with Hebrew letters that signify the beginning and the end. The Alpha and Omega. Not only that....
The Bible says: "For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." Romans 11:25
Could it be that this Gentile nation of America is being marked with the sign of completion for the purpose of signifying the fulness of the Gentiles?
As I was researching for this post, I came across a post someone made about the eclipse and when I saw it I thought surely they are making that up.... They posted a screenshot of a date calculator that showed the duration between the date of the first eclipse on Aug 21, 2017, and the upcoming one April 8, 2024.
Guess what the exact number of days, weeks, months, and years are between each eclipse? 6 days, 6 weeks, 6 months and 6 years.
Anyway, I went to google and found a random date calculator and I put in the same dates, and it is correct.
Immediately a verse in Revelation came to mind and I found it quite interesting as well.
"This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666." Revelation 13:18 NIV The NLT version says it this way: "Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666"
While no one can know for sure if judgment is coming to America, it does seem that God is speaking to us through the signs in the sun and moon about something. Time will tell what that something is.
There have been some very interesting things happening in the skies over the last few years - Tetrads of Blood Moons falling on 4 Feast Days of the Lord in a Shemitah year in 2014 and 2015, an unprecedented event. The “Star of Bethlehem” phenomenon reappearing for the first time since the birth of Jesus. The “Star of Bethlehem” appeared for the first time to announce the birth of our King. Is it appearing this time to announce the coming of our King? Now that we have the technology and equipment to understand better what is happening up there, we need to be paying attention.
Jesus specifically told us that there would be signs in the sky…in the sun and moon and stars (Luke 21:25), and he told us to “look up”, as our redemption draws near.
Are we listening?
Jesus said: "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37 Let’s not forget: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD” (Genesis 6:8). We can learn a lot from Noah who was called a righteous man, perfect in his generations. Genesis 6:9 tells us that Noah walked with God. That is the key to being prepared at all times for whatever may come. Are you walking with God?
As I said in my prior post, there is just too much for me to put my head in the sand. Just thought I would share this with you, in case you find it as interesting as I do. If you don't no worries, it's just information.
"...in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. “Be dressed and ready for active service, and keep your lamps continuously burning. Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that when he comes and knocks they may immediately open the door for him. Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) are those servants whom the master finds awake and watching when he arrives. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he will prepare himself to serve, and will have them recline at the table, and will come and wait on them. Whether he comes in the second watch (before midnight), or even in the third (after midnight), and finds them so [prepared and ready], blessed are those servants. “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time the thief was coming, he [would have been awake and alert, and] would not have allowed his house to be broken into. You too, be continually ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.” (Luke 12:35-40)
The apostle Paul had this to say: "But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief." (1 Thessalonians 5:4)
Remember Jesus said “But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son [in His humanity], but the Father alone. (Matthew 24:36- AMP) Listen to what he said... No one knows THE DAY, or THE HOUR. He was saying that no one knows the precise timing. He did not say we would have no indications to understand the season.
He continued to say... in the same conversation, so you, too, "when you see all these things [taking place], know for certain that He is near, right at the door. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, this generation [the people living when these signs and events begin] will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth [as now known] will pass away, but My words will not pass away."In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door." (Matthew 24:33-35 - AMP)
Jesus also replied, “You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow; red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the signs of the times! (Matthew 16:2-3)
The Day of the Lord will be a shock to everyone who doesn’t have a true relationship with Jesus. But, not to His true sons and daughters. He said that He would come like a thief in the night to those of the world (they will be entirely unaware)… but those who have been abiding in His Word, will notice the signs that Jesus and the prophets gave long ago, and therefore, they will be alert [awake], ready, and watching!
"What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’” - Jesus

What should we do?
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17 AMP)
There have been many people scoffing at any mention of these types of possibilities because there have been numerous predictions of peril and doom that have not occurred. But, God's Word is Truth. He will keep His promises and He does have a way of doing things in His perfect timing. In my opinion, I don't think anything will happen on this day but I do think it is a warning of things to come.
